Yes! I’m shaving my head. Last year, two of my amazing friends participated in the St. Baldrick’s event, and I was inspired to do the same this time around. Both my paternal grandmother and my great-grandmother died from breast cancer when I was really young [less than 3 years old], and my grandmother was the Director of Administration at Children’s Hospital Oakland [so the venue really fit].

St. Baldrick’s is the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising program for childhood cancer research, and today the St. Baldrick’s Foundation funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

I’m hoping in addition to donating my layers upon layers of hair to be made into wigs, that I will also be able to present the foundation with a $2,000 donation with help from you guys!
